Blues Rules Festival
I’m excited to announce I will be playing Blues Rules Festival again in May 2016! You can find the current line up here:
Blues Rules Festival is out of Crissier Switzerland. This was the first festival to invite me to Europe in June of 2012. I couldn’t believe my music was going to take me overseas. I had to do it, and man am I glad I did.
Blues Rules Festival started in 2010 by Thomas Lecuyer and Vincent Delsupexhe. Vincent claims after having his second beer with Thomas, who he barely knew, he asked, “Do you want to set up a blues festival?” The rest is history.
This festival is filled with different styles and cultural influences from musicians around the world, but I would say the inspiration of this festival is based around Mississippi Hill Country Blues. With acts like Reverend John Wilkins, David Kimbrough Band, Ten Foot Pole Cats, North Mississippi Allstars, Ataturk, Bob Log III, Reverend Deadeye, Scott H. Biram, James Leg, Left Lane Cruiser, Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band and many many more.
Vincent tells me their goal is to share music they love. The focus is to bring unknown bands to Crissier while also promoting Swiss and European bands.
That’s why now we have 50% from the USA (16 bands), 25% from Switzerland (4) and 25% for the rest of the world.
